Alright, Day 2. Things will be getting underway soon. The big story of the day is how much further will Jimmy Clausen fall. The rumor so far is that the Rams are receiving multiple trade offers to move out of the first pick of the day. Check back throughout the day.
Funny story from Day 1:
ReplyDeleteAmanda had to connect in Denver before getting into Seattle last night. A woman the row in front of her was on her cell phone after they landed in Denver and got very excited about the Tebow pick, only Amanda thought she said Tivo. So the woman said (very excitedly): "What?! We got Tivo?! That's awesome. Now we get to watch him whenever we want!"
Bateman, as the lone Niners fan, what would you like to see them do on Day 2?
ReplyDeleteClausen will do. If not, a booster pack for Smith to up his running speed. If not, draft some guy who used to play for stanford, those fools are hella smart.
ReplyDeleteA) Thats a very funny story.
ReplyDeleteB) Any chance I can jump into the rotation as a solid draft analyzer? Clearly I am a guru. I think I can add some depth to the HCM lineup.
This forum is open to all. Post any analysis you would like.
ReplyDeleteI would hate for the Niners to take a player like Dexter McCluster out of Ole Miss. A guy that can be a change of pace back, but then also help in the return game and running routes out of the back field.
Pick is in for Rams. Hope it's not Golden Tate.
ReplyDeleteNothing surprising so far. Would've loved for the Hawks to have a chance to get Price, but he wasn't going to fall that far.
ReplyDeleteGentleman... he's back!
ReplyDeletePeter seems a lot more relaxed today.
ReplyDeleteOhreallyyes Benn.
ReplyDeleteSome people thought Miami would take Sergio Kindle at 12.
Pete, I will still give credit for your Oakland Bruce Campbell pick when it happens in 10 mins
ReplyDeleteBut I guess they don't want Kindle.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that the Raiders aren't even interested in Campbell.
ReplyDeletemy butt itches
ReplyDeleteI am the eggman!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnymore Tivo stories?
ReplyDeleteTorell Troup? Not sure he's a real player.
ReplyDeleteDuring this Holmgren interview Finn did a really cool sound effect and hand motion to signify a smoke screen. I wish you guys had been here to see it.
Here's my favorite part of yesterday's draft
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMiqZ84XhhM
watching the draftcast on espn.com, whatever the hell just happend between oakland, NE, and BAL, had the entire sales team stopped.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was so screwed up you would've thought Berman was running things.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you work? Are you guys a public company?
ReplyDeleteMy sources are telling me Clausen to Carolina.
ReplyDeletemore like draft pupu
ReplyDeletei broke it.
this place that is fn awesome!
ReplyDeleteCould Arizona be looking for a QB after leapfrogging Carolina?
ReplyDeleteNope. Interesting.
ReplyDeletedodged a bullet, but san fran will get a QB this late. I love Charlie Whitehurst!
ReplyDeleteHere's some draft grades for Peter:
ReplyDeleteHomework: A
Typing Speed: B+
Snacks and Drink: F+
Remote Response time: C
Being a great little brother: A+
Oh god, you're so twisted
ReplyDeleteThis coming from a guy who was beating off to Berman's comb over earlier?
ReplyDeleteClausen to Carolina... you heard it here first!!!
ReplyDeleteApparently the ESPN team thinks its 2005 and Steve Smith is still an elite wr. What clowns. Minus Gruden. he's cool.
ReplyDeleteTaylor Mays to the Niners. Not sure how I feel about that one.
ReplyDeleteTalyor Mays will get his wish to play at Qwest every year. Except now he will get booed!
ReplyDeleteMays is a good football player with lots of attributes that should help win some games. Not a bad pick.
ReplyDeleteWho asked you Bateman?
ReplyDeleteHawks pick is getting close. Some good players stil available.
ReplyDeleteI want Golden Tate. I also want a golden taint.
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too
ReplyDeleteAh, Ben Taint.
ReplyDeleteHolmgrum doesn't want hawks to take colt maccoy. At least that's what I'm thinking.
ReplyDeleteHope one the Hawks pick one of the following:
ReplyDeleteGolden Tate
Everson Griffen
Montario Hardesty
Jon Asamoah
Charles Brown (if he can play other positions than LT)
hoo baby!
ReplyDeleteGreat draft so far for the Hawks.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see them get into the 3rd round somehow.
The Brothers Andersen just made the connection that the last time Holngrem picked the winningest college QB in history his name was Davey Greene and he never saw the field.
ReplyDelete3 Rounds complete. Still some great prospects out there for the Hawls. They have the 6th pick in the 4th round. Everson Griffen is still on the board and should be considered if he's still there when they're on the clock. There has to be something about him that is scaring some teams.
ReplyDeleteDominique Franks at corner is another player I like.
If they're looking to add a running back, there are some interesting Pac-10 players left. Joe McKnight and LeGarrette Blount.
Whatever your paying Draft Guru Pete, your paying wayyyy too much
ReplyDeleteI think he was trying to make a call-back joke to his comments from yesterday. I THINK.
ReplyDeleteThe American people think the Seahawks had the best draft according to espn.com. Although these are the same people that voted in Obama, so I wouldn't get to giddy if I were you guys.
