Thoughts on the latest Coug victory

Well since UW fans decided the basketball Apple Cup is important again (they sort of went away for awhile) I guess I'll post a few thoughts:

- Fantastic crowd. Came off as VERY loud on the tube. (don't like the Overrated chants. never have. We beat a good team, and calling them overrated just diminishes the accomplishment.)

- A lot of people laughed when Isaiah Thomas spent the summer tutoring under Vlade Divac... but it looks like it's paying off.

- It'd be alright with me if Klay wants to start hitting his crunchtime free throws. Oh, and maybe try and take care of the ball in the last few mintues. A blow out would have been more fun.

- Brock Motum is so damn handsome. I don't care how that sounds. I said it.

- This SHOULD be a good win for the Cougs. Huskies... we did our part, know you do yours. Win some games and stay relevant you tools.

SHIT, I just thought of something... as a Coug fan I sort of need to ROOT for UW to stay strong so this looks like a quality win. Hmmmpphhrrlllphphph... I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

By the way, I pretty much nailed my prediction on the game (well 18 off but whatevs)

The Niners released two Cougs today (Paymah and Hill). As if I needed another reason to hate those gold digging ass bags. Can't wait to pummel them in the opener.

As a prelude to Erik's weekly picks column, let me jump the gun (Sorry Erik):

Seahawks 49 (on purpose, just for the disrespect) 49ers 6 (a 99 yard garbage screen pass to Gore for a touch... I gotta salvage my fantasy week. Then they miss the extra point when Colin Cole kills EVERYONE))

In what HAS to be considered one of the greatest comebacks in the history of collegiate sports, the Washington State Cougars overcame a 42 point (almost 5 year) deficit to FINALLY emerge victorious over the might Trojans of USC!!!!

GO COUGS!!!!

A win like this can really turn a program around!!!!

This gets me pumped for football!

Cougs get screwed

Anyone lucky enough to get OSN (Oregon University's network, i dunno... it's top notch stuff by the way, I'm excited to watch their Rose Bowl Recap live from Padadena) just saw the Cougs get royally screwed.



We... yeah WE, I went to school there. WE just got absolutely dicked over by some inept referees on a judgement call. Casto won the game with a lay in. .3 seconds left. I celebrate much like the Cougs. Only the refs call a technical foul for a kid who jumped a little too high off the bench and onto the court. Imagine my surprise when I saw Tajuan "I don't miss threes and have 19 years of eligibility" Porter calmly step to the line and tie the game with free throws. (See I turned the volume off because I was tired of listening to the two homer shit heads who were trying to call the game).

We end up losing in Double OT.

It was the worst officiating move I'd seen since the Superbowl.

I'm still shaking with rage. Actually hard to type. And this is about 30 minutes after the event. I don't think I should watch sports anymore.
