In last place: Mr. Purple (no photo available) Final weight: 231 lbs. 5 lbs. lost.

4th place: Mr. Yellow (no photo available) Final Weight: 188.8 lbs. 14.6 lbs. lost.

3rd place: Mr. Red (this dude just took a body fat percentage test, and it said 13.3%... you show me where?!?!?)

177 lbs. 16.4 lbs LOST (best show ever)

2nd place: Mr. Blue (the brass ring eludes him again, but we're all still proud of him)



169 lbs. (hehe) 19.2 lbs. lost

and in his maiden HCM Weight Loss Challenge journey... this year's winner... MR. ORANGE!!!



173.6 lbs. 35.2 lbs. (and a new HCM WL record) lost!!!!

A great year by all competitors, here he is again, your champion, Mr. Orange!

He's back and clocking in at 236 lbs. A surprise final entrant!!!! This shit just got interesting!

2011 Henry Cotto's Weight Loss Challenge

Well, we were holding our breath for some more competitors, but it looks like this will be the 4. Take a look at the tradition, do some research, whatever. Here it is.

And without further delay... this year's competitors:

Mr. Blue: 188.2 lbs.

Mr. Blue is hoping the third time is the charm as he tries for that ellusive HCM Weight Loss championship belt.

Mr. Red: 194.6 lbs.

He won the original competition, finishing second last year. I'd say he's a long shot for winning it this year.

Mr. Yellow: 203.4 lbs.

Last year's champ, and an early favorite for this year.

Mr. Orange: 208.6

This year's only rookie so far. I think he's got a real shot to lose the most. We'll see if he can get it done.

There they are. Who's gonna win? Place your bets. If any other competitors wish to enter, by all means... we always enjoy receiving shirtless pics.... I mean competition.

That's right... it's that time of year again.... the Henry Cotto's Mustache Weight Loss Challenge!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Sure... last year we kind of dropped the ball on the results (wanamaker lost like 4 pounds and won), but they year before that, there were some serious results!!!

Anyway, you know the drill. Jan. 1st through March Madness. Whoever loses the most weight wins.

Submit your before picture to us prior to the 1st. Remember ladies, you're invited to! And you don't have to pose topless like the beefcakes.

HCM Weight Loss Challenge

It's the moment all our female Mustacheers wait for allllll year long. That's right, shirtless pics of beefcakes!!! Yep, it's the 2nd Annual HCM Weight Loss Challenge! (I wish I knew had to add music to these posts, 'cuz right now it'd play the track the Sonics used to play when announcing their starting lineups... wouldn't that be sweet?)

We've actually got a much larger group on competitors this year... let's meet them, shall we? ...

Like last year, the names and faces have been hidden to protect the innocent. But unlike last year, calling them "Dots" (stupid), I'd like to go in more of a Tarantino direction and name them Reservoir Dogs style. Here we go:


- MR. RED 205.4 pounds



Last year's champ has bragging for weeks about winning this thing two years in a row! Not sure that's something to be proud of.

- MR. BLUE 188.0 pounds




Last year's last place finisher... or as he'll remind you, Runner Up! Let's see if he can stay with the pack by contracting a weight eating stomach virus DURING the competition this year.

- MR. YELLOW 206.6 pounds



Surprising the second heaviest MR. in the competition. He carries it well.

- MR. GREEN 198.5 pounds



He's a hard worker I can tell you that much. Plus you probably burn a ton of calories fighting subway rats and bashing Yankee fans. He's got a shot.

- MR. PURPLE 249 pounds



Our final entrant, and a real dark horse if you ask me. He's the heaviest, so he's got the most to lose. We'll see if he can pull it off.


Ok! that's it. The prize has yet to be determined, but it will be mutually decided upon by all of the MR's. We'll hopefully try and keep you updated. I know you care. The competition ends the Wednesday evening before the first round of this years March Madness... or as I like to call it: "The Cougs first game in their march to glory"

Well apparently the two competitors forgot what they learned... cuz they're back and fatter than ever! And we're looking for new challengers! Any takers just step your fat ass up to the plate.

Weight Loss Challenge, One month later

In an effort to give you the strongest reporting on the internet... we've followed up with the two competitors, Blue Dot and Red Dot.

Blue Dot clearly motivated by his CRUSHING defeat has gone on to improve his physique even more:

Mustacheers... never stop trying to be your very best. Much like Matt Hasselbeck who led us to a championship game (or Gary Payton for that matter). What does this all mean? I don't think it means anything.

Weight Loss Challenge. Final Results.

Just a quick refresh... a couple of strangers we knew wanted to participate in a weight loss challenge going from SuperBowl Sunday through March Madness. We'll refer to them as Red Dot and Blue Dot in order to protect their identities...

Here were the initial results:

Blue Dot: 190 lbs.



Red Dot: 223 lbs.




After weeks of anticipation here are the final results.... ready? You BETTER BE!!!

Blue Dot:



174 pounds!!!!!! Lost 16 pounds (some would even say 27 is you count the stomach virus from 1 week earlier)

Red Dot:



195.5 lbs!!!!! A loss of 27.5 lbs. AND YOUR WINNER!!!!


The real message here though is this...




You can figure out which one is Rocky and which one is Drago on your own... but congrats to both of the competitors. They'll both be celebrating by trying to put those pounds back on at the Ram @ Northgate one of these days... and you're all invited!

2009 Weight Loss Challenge / March Celebration

There have rumors for quite awhile about a weight loss challenge going on between participants of this blog. Well I can tell you that it's true. I will not be able to divulge the participants names, as they will remain a secret, but you will see their progress.

Some of you might think this is pathetic or girly. Well I'll have you know it's not girly. Cuz girls wouldn't allow access to their weight loss blogs. So there.

Here were the initial weigh in results done the first week of the year:

Participant A: 223 Lbs.

Participant B:190 Lbs.

The face off: Fat.


















The challenge will culminate in a celebration the Wednesday before the NCAA Tournament begins. We... I mean the competitors will attempt to put all the weight back on in one night by eating and drinking at the Northgate Ram.... NEVERMIND!!! We're gonna set a new date, cuz there's something mildly important that day.

We'd like to invite all of our Mustacheers to join us. The first official meeting of the Mustacheers. So mark it on your calendars boys and girls. Or don't. We don't give a shit.
