What can you say about Walter Jones? He's the greatest of all time. There are all kinds of stats to back that up... too many to list here. But here's a fun one I heard from one of our Mustacheers, EP: Walter Jones had as many holding penalties, as he did Pro Bowl Appearances: 9. I know what you're thinking... 9?!?! He only went to 9 Pro Bowls??!?! Obviously he got shafted a few of those years.
Anyway, Big Walt, thanks for the years of service. You will be missed! The best ever!

Not sure if anybody else caught the ending to the 3pm Sportscenter today, but it was probably the worst close to a show I've ever seen. They did a "Top 10 Biggest 1st Round Upsets" countdown ... #1 involved the Sonics.
After the countdown, as they were going off air they happened to mention that Walter Jones was retiring. The news wasn't the real heart-breaker, I mean, we all saw this coming for the last few months. But the fact that it was a casual toss-in at the end of the show? Pathetic. This is a guy that, at one time, arguably played his position better than any other player in the NFL, and they can't carve out 30 seconds in their normal show rundown to mention him? Fuck off.
Also, I wasn't going to mention this, but now I'm angry. Before their Top 10 started, "Anchor" Kevin Negandhi blurted out, "Dikembe Mutombo better be on there!" Then when it showed up as #1 (which he obviously knew it was going to be to begin with) he almost started giggling. Honestly, it was like he had some sort of weird schoolgirl crush on the moment as a whole. He wouldn't stop talking about it for the next minute ... which ended up taking more time away from Walt. Anyway, fuck you Kevin Negandhi. Maybe this should have been its own post.
Ok, so I might have jumped the gun a little bit here. On their morning Sportscenter they mentioned Walt at the 46 minute mark. Still too late if you ask me, but better.
