Yeah, well...

Ok, so that blew... but at least we got.... well........ I'm not sure what we have to look forward to as a Seattle sports fan. Spring Training? Yikes. Coug Hoops? Ya know I love it, but things will be tough without our toked out loked out PG. Husky hoops? I'm not a fan, but I'm sure some of you are. Well, let's just say I'll bet they wish their legal troubles were limited to those of the weedish variety.

Are the Sounders playing? Seriously, I don't know...

Anyway, what we got? what we need?

Yeah, well... we've got a big secret pizza party to look forward to!

Aside from that, the future looks bleak - I always look forward to spring training, but that doesn't mean good things are gonna come from it - just the tiny shred of hope that comes along with starting a new season - that being said, I'm not seeing any earth-shattering off season moves being made, so at best I think avoiding the AL West cellar is the best we can hope for - WWWEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Sounders? We don't need no stinking sounders!!! Perhaps you've heard of an old JHS Baseball slogan, conjured up by one of your own bloggers - it goes like this: "Friends don't let friends play soccer"...it also applies to WATCHING soccer, so if you're thinking about doing something crazy due to a lack of successful local sports, DON'T DO IT!!!! ANY OF YOU - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T!!!! It'll be like that episode of South Park where Stan grows vaginas all over his body when he stops eating meat - watching soccer can lead to the same detrimental disorder - don't let this happen to you. Let's just all carry on the Seattle area tradition of keeping our heads down, hoping for the best, expecting the worst, and waiting for that one special season where we can get ourselves to the very edge of success, and then fall flat on our faces - YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!

I've tried to get into Soccer. And I do lover how supportive our city is of that team... but yeah... can't do it.

Royal Rumble is in a few weeks... forgot about that.

UFC - Silva vs. Belfourt - not Seattle related, but exciting nonetheless

Is Gold Dust still a wrestler? If so, sign me up for some Royal Rumble!!! I hope he wins!

Last I heard G-dust was trolling the streets of Baltimore looking for freebies.

Oooohhhhh, THAT'S who that guy was - thought he looked familiar - he got his freebie all right - AND HOW!!!!

The Sweaty Genitalia would be a good band name.

Sweaty genitalia ROCKS!!!!!! They rival the early 90's powerhouse "Chode"

In an effort to create new fans... the NHL allows all non-NHL-markets to root for the nearest NHL team, so long as no international borders are crossed. So... Welcome to being a San Jose Sharks fan!!

Jk you guys should have an HCM Canucks night, its not jumping on the bandwagon if you attend a game before Valentines day.

Mr. F said...

Solid point Bobbo! I like hockey, but it's tough to follow with out the coverage. I would certainly consider the Canucks the to be the NHL team I root for, and have pretty much always felt that way... but I wouldn't consider myself a fan. that would be an insult to the actual fans of the team. I know the Sedin brothers and if Trevor what his name who used to be PSA's on channell 11 still plays for them, then I know three players. Oh wait and Luongo. Is he still a bad ass?

Anyway... used to make it up for at least a game a year, but have been slacking the past 2 or 3 years. Getting older and having to do real world shit blows. ANG I DON'T EVEN HAVE KIDS! (that I'm claiming... blood tests you whores... let's do it)

Anyway, go Canucks!

Do they televise Canucks games in Seattle?

Mr. F said...

Not unless it's a national game or the game of the week or some shizznit.

Since we are talking about going international we can't forget about the World Handball Championships going on right now in Sweden. It's like the World's Super Bowl. It is so huge it has its own facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=191134593251. Go Bahrain!

Mr. F said...

Looks like Bahrain has had a tough go of it so far.

is there a women's handball championship? i'm really into women's sports. They are so technically sound and truly relish in the fundamentals of the game. This link is a great example of the power of women's sports and shows how fundamentals, dedication, and technical play can really add to our male dominated sports world. Something Seattle fans can really rally around....................http://www.lflus.com/seattlemist/

I could certainly get behind that.

HAHAHA!!!! That's seriously some of the funniest shit I've ever seen - well done jimi - you've opened my eyes to a whole new world of sports
