some facts about our hero. Henry Cotto has a bitchin mustache. He played for the Seattle Mariners from 1988 - 1993. He is currently the hitting coach on the Everett AquaSox. He was an original Florida Marlin. His mustache has mysterious powers.
My name is Mark Sackler...I am the self proclaimed president-for-life of the "Henry Cotto Fan Club." As Casey Stengel would have said, you could look it up:
I was also president of the New Haven Ravens booster club and was a host player for families. The man himself lived with my wife and I for two seasons when he was the Ravens hitting coach (1999-2000).
But sorry guys, the bulk of our membership are New York fans and he will always be, first and foremost, a New York Yankee to us!
Well this is an interesting development! While the Yankee comment is sure to leave a sour taste in the mouth of our 6 or so followers, we still thank you for discovering our site.
Well, if it is any consolation, when I travel northward from southern Connecticut into the Red Sox nation (which I do frequently on business), I like to wear a Seattle Mariners warmup jacket that was given to me by Henry his first year in New Haven. I consider it a disguise amidst the Red Menace in Massachussets. So I do sort of consider the M's my second team. Ex-mariners Joel Pineiro and Ramon Vazquez both spent time in my house spent timein my house during their Ravens days.
I still talk to Ramon Vazquez now and then. I haven't heard from Pineiro in about four years. He seems to have developed a major league attitude, and even Henry harldy hears from him any more.
