Sports Rule!

I really don't have anything to say. Just thought we could all use a place to bitch and moan. Basically thank god for Kyle Weaver and our trip to the sweet 16 otherwise I think I'd have lost all faith in... whatever. What did we do to deserve this?!?

Here's my theory: we cared too much. We've made sports an almost unhealthy factor in our lives. To the point where our weekend is ruined when our team loses. So God or Satan, or whoever controls sports, took the Sonics away, effectively took the Mariners away, and now he's decimated our once proud Seahawks. All of this was an attempt to get us to forget about sports and do something constructive with our lives.

HA! Nice try, but it's not happening buddy. In the words of Lt. Dan, "Is that all you got! You're gonna have to kill me!"

That could be! But I think you're combining quotes there at the the end. That last part is Truman. "You're going to have to... KILLLLLLL MEEEEEEEEE!!!"

You might be right about that.

In the paraphrased words of the immortal Carl Spackler "At least we got that going for us". In case no one noticed the Karma is shifting. While we are imploding in this state in sports we have no further to fall. The pain that will be felt in Oklahoma as they again fail to achieve what they so dearly desire will be far greater. Clay Bennett will feel the deep heat of a scalding coffee enema as he tries to make the Thunder something more than a colassal blunder.
It could be worse yet we could have been given an American League Expansion team and sent the Mariners to Tampa Bay and then we would still be watching games in the Kingdome. How sick is that?
We have 2 of the best stadiums to watch games in professional sports all we need now is a quality sports arena that can bring us basketball and hockey and be a true major league town just like Minnesota.
It ain't over until it's over and the Aflac Duck has his bill up David Stern's exit port
In the immortal words of Steve Bartman "that was foul wasn't it?"

We have given the world of sports some of the most fan events, The Wave, cheering the pitcher when there is a two strike count, the Bull Sh*t chant for a bad call, the 12th man flag (F**k Texas A&M), at one time 2 of the most imposing venues in the league to play in Qwest field (the Kingdome before it) and Key Arena. Just like the South and Cialis daily use we shall rise again.
