Hate to do this, but if we're counting hockey, the Carolina Hurricanes won a Stanley Cup.

I forgot about that before I pointed out that the Panthers should be included with Charlotte.

Sorry.

I just posted this one the original, so I'll repost here:

I think Vancouver might need to be bumped from the list. The only reason is that they hosted the Olympics and the Canadian hockey team won the gold medal. I bet most people in Vancouver would have rather had that happen in their city than have the Canucks win the Cup.

I also disagree with Charlotte moving up because of the Panthers. They've made 2 NFC title games and 1 Super Bowl in their first 15 years. They just been unfortunate to run into vastly superior teams each time. Also, you'd have to throw the Hurricanes in there too and they won the Cup a few years ago.

You could maybe add Edmonton since they had Gretzky and then traded him away. They won a shit load of champsionships, but nothing for the last 20.

How is Atlanta a better sports area than the SF Bay area? Also, I dont know if your counting but SJ dominated MLS in the early 2000's, which included the best comeback in modern pro sports history from 4-0 down in the second leg of a home and home playoff game against their rival (Galaxy) in the semifinals before winning the Cup. It was better than the Bills comeback.

"they won a game, theyre good". Lotta snide 9er comments coming out of HCM. Its like youre trying to convince yourselves that the 9ers are anything but the best team in the division. Its okay to be insecure about your own franchise, you just dont have to be so open about it!

besides, read the last one on strong side here http://www.theonion.com/articles/jerry-rice,17895/
