Kansas City at Los Angeles Chargers
The football world has been abuzz over the 60+ yard pass that Justin Herbert uncorked last Sunday while avoiding oncoming Giants rushers. And I’m guessing Patrick Mahomes not only saw the attention it garnered, but will do his best to one up Herbert on Thursday night. Look for Mahomes to take the opening snap and sprint backwards, eventually running out of bounds at his own 5 yard line. An obvious gambit to set himself up for a 90 yard throw, which he’ll attempt on the ensuing play. The pass will travel an inadequate, yet impressive 72 yards in the air before falling incomplete. Mahomes will tear all the muscles in his arm in the process. As he’s helped off the field he’ll stop by Herbert and say, “Your move, big man,” before vomiting from the pain.
