Listen, he's a solid guy. If he can fill in for two games while Showalter gets a drink, he can make it in the bigs. I personally met him at the Aquasocks Fall classic last year. BTW, love the site guys...keep it up!
I haven't received this much attention since my pinch hit against the mets back in 1993.
Wow. Waka got the endorsement from the H. Cotto. And you know it's really him because of how he spelled Aquasocks. That must be some special spelling that they only let the team members know about.
If Cotto says he's good, I'll trust him. I'd just never heard of the guy before, next time I'll do my research. Although, when the GM decides to interview 7 candidates that don't have MLB managerial experience, what research can you really do?
Good to see the M's trying to emmulate the top franchise in baseball. I'm sure they'll win at least 2 more games next year, simply due to the fact that their manager has been associated with winners in Oakland.
On a more important topic, let's talk about the Holliday trade, I mean wow. Talk about a great team only getting better.
You are correct. Fantastic move move by Billy Genius once again. It's a shame he'll never have a payroll to work with to see what he is really capable of.
As for your A's comments? I guess I'd love to hear your definition of the "top franchise" in baseball. They were an under .500 ball club last year and never seem to make it out of the first round. And when they do they swept embarrassingly. Not to mention the only World Series they've one in the last 20 years was due to a natural disaster and a juiced up cheating tattle tale.
Thanks again for stopping by Mark. Tell Elizabeth hello for me.
f.i.n.n., that's Air Bud, 7th inning Fetch. I find it has a freshness that "Golden Receiver" and "World Pup" lacked (plus it's about baseball). As for the AquaSox, those in the know call em' the Socks. It's an inside thing.

Good point Peter. I was also a little concerned for his love of the Air Bud baseball movie. I'm sure the real Mr. Cotto has taste!
Whoever this imposter is has ruined what shouldbe a good thread congratulating our new manager.
I'm just excited for the Fozzy Bear soundbites at Safeco next year!!!
