Trade Felix?

I don't understand why all the AM sportscasters are talking about how we have to hurry up and trade Felix. Geoff Baker said this morning he thinks they will trade Felix this off-season. We have him for 2 1/2 years, why can't we think that is enough time to show him that we are building a winner and sign him to a long term deal? What's the point to having a team if you are resigned to offloading players 2 years before they are up for free agency. If that is our mentality, it doesn't seem like we will ever be building a winner.

Never trade the King. He is a shiny beacon of hope. As long as he is on the team I have belief that the M's could one day win the World Series.

That being said... we will never get a package of players stronger than the rumored Red Sox deal.

I disagree- respectfully of course, but Adrian Gonzo and Bucholtz are nice and all but we would have ended up trading Felix, Morrow and two other good prospects. IF and I mean IF we trade Felix it should be a 5 for 1 deal. A deal that bad hasn't been seen since the historic Bedard for all our good prospects deal of...wow, that was less than two years ago.
