like he says he now was, he would've found a way out of that jam. Hey Wakamatsu, it's the 2nd game of the season. He's not going to feel any better about himself if Batista comes in and cleans up his mess. Let him do his job.
Yeah. It's game two, but seriously... Miguel Batista fracking sucks and anyone even remotely close to the game of baseball should know that. His skip / dance out of the bullpen was especially stupid. The good news is we have Sleak on the mound tomorrow.
I don't even blame Batista at this point. We know he sucks ... he knows he sucks, but what's he gonna do retire? It's not his fault that Waka thought it would be a good idea to bring him in with the bases loaded. Although, that chopper from Span might not have been a hit on grass.
Also, none of this would be an issue (most likely) if the ump had just called Bedard's 2-2 pitch in the 5th a strike, which it was. It would have ended the inning. Instead, 2 pitches later Bedard gave up a 2-run single to make it 4-3.
The real problem is Morrow's inability to throw strikes, which has apparently been an issue all Spring. Hopefully he figures this out soon because we have NOBODY else who has closer stuff, as we saw last night.
Him and Brett Boone, not that that he has any relevance but the image of him sloppy drunk at Tiki Bob's pulling tail none of us (present commenter excluded) could ever dream of having is forever burned in my head.

As for tonight's game, Silva's in mid-season form so far.
On the broadcast they said he's lost about 25 pounds.
Although, it looks like he found it again.
Morrow's back!
You gotta love these guys.
And Washburn was on fire!!! He must have had some freshly squeezed this morning.
You could see him wiping his chin off all game. It was flowing
Aumont will end up being the closer
