With the NFL regular season now over, we enter into the time that most fans consider more exciting than the regular season: Draft Positioning Season. During this exciting time teams compete to see who will get the chance to pick sleepers at the end of each round in the draft. The better teams go to a playoff system with the winner of the 32nd Pick Bowl getting the special right to pick at the end of the round. The not-so-good teams compete for the right to pay their draft pick less money. As you may have noticed, teams looking to save some cash like Tennessee have really tried to turn their season around and get a middle of the round pick. Other teams, like Oakland, have blown so many high draft picks, that they throw games to get another chance at righting their many wrongs.
With a huge #1 vs. #2 matchup looming on Sunday, I feel now is the perfect time to debut the draft standings.

To get this draft talk started, I'd like to see what position you, the Mustacheers, would most like to see the Hawks address in the first round.

With the first pick we have to take the best available offensive lineman. Walt might not play another game, and even if he does the rest of the line is pretty suspect. I'd say that's our biggest need area.
With our second pick (which is climbing every week) I think we might want to look at a running back. It seems like every year there's decent value at RB towards the end of the 1st round.
OR if we could get one of the safeties, Berry or Mays, with our first pick we could look at the lineman with the latter pick.
I want two o-linemen with our first two picks... and if we don't get one I'm calling for Ruskell's job.
Also, RUN don't walk away from Mays. He'll shoot up the boards after he posts a 2.9 40 yard dash and reps whatever weight 900 times, but his biggest weakness is he's not a very good safety.
Keep improving our draft status and hopefully get the Oklahoma State guy, Okung. He is an animal. Our second pick we should blow on Brandon Spikes. I know we dont need a linebacker but who elso on the board will we see try and rip out Warner's eyes after a sack.
I'm with you guys that o-line has to be the priority. I don't like any of the top quarterback prospects too much (Snead, Bradford, or even Locker).
And Mays definitely seems more like a Roy Williams type safety who isn't actually that good. I haven't been able to watch much Tennessee football, but I've heard Berry is awesome. He's also the only player in their secondary that hasn't been arrested.
