8. Mack Strong vs. 9. Paul Allen?

What did these guys do to end up with this match-up? I think they should both be higher. I mean I love Felix as much as the next guy but a 3 seed? That seems too high. And Durant with a 6 seed, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. He only had one year in Seattle, and whenever I think of him it's just painful.

Also, I would have liked to see more inter-sport match-ups. It seems like there's a lot of football vs. football and so on.

Other than that I'm excited for the tourney. Will the results depend on votes?

I was also wondering if this will be like the Bigger Dance where you set up a post where everyone votes...I love the bracket idea, kudos.

Our Soccer Team over Lou Pinella in a stunning first round upset due to the fact that Our Soccer Team sells more season tickets than Lou Pinellas baseball version of an alma matter. And Lou Pinella will die of heart failure in 4 days.

Jim Zorn will promptly take out Our Soccer Team when all the season ticket holders realize soccer in the rain sucks. Also, Jim Zorn will die of heart failure in 12 years so he will be a force in these brackets for a while.

Where is Kenny Maine? Terrible snub, look at the facts:

He had a stregnth of schedule 18 (lot of night telecasts, worked with Stuart Scott 23.4% of broadcasts).

RPI 6. He has lost a lot less games in his life than #1 seeds Griffy and Peyton.

Big wins: Getting Olberman banned from TV stations that people actually watch. Getting picked for the 50 states and 50 days that nobody has any idea if they actually finished that series.

Big losses: Being from Seattle.

I mean I can understand snubbing Rich Aurilia on the fact that his strength of schedule was 124 (played in the NL West at least one season). Kenny Maine? No excuse.

Wow, after lying dormant for about 4 months, follower "Bobby Bateman" really came out guns blazin'. Who cares if he misspelled Kenny Mayne and Ken Griffey? It's good to finally here from this enigmatic source.

Oh, he also misspelled Payton.

Erik - Admittedly, some of the seeding are a little off... but not Felix. He represents everything that we have to believe in. Mack is low, and Paul Allen was a late throw in. Durant is awesome, and he was the last great memory on my beloved Sonics team. I choose not to forget.

The matchups were determined at random, I can assure you. I could go into the process, but it does it really matter?

EP - Yes, the Mustacheers will decide the winner. A few matchups per day.

Bobby - You are ugly when you're angry.

As it turns out Olbermann is spelled with two n's.

Well gosh jim. I guess you better vote for him then.

Ps. Never question my sonic fanhood again.

I just asked the Bay Area Sports March Maddness Pool Authority, and they have Ricky Waters on their pool as well. It is against the law to have one person on two regions March Madness pools. Ricky Waters should be replaced by Kenny Mayne on this pool.

Kenny Mayne is a douche and Im starting to think you are too.

Mr. F said...

Just kidding. Kenny would've been good... never crossed my mind. Maybe next year?

Jimi, no way Scheff should be higher. He needs to be a low seed. It's a perfect fit for his legacy. And as for Sonics attendance, I went to a ton of games back when he played. I remember seeing Finn at quite a few, but come to think of it, I never saw you at any of them.

I think we may have seen the last of jimi. Zing!

How come?

Erik said...

Uh-oh. We're gonna need a new Jimi!

sorry, jerks, been away from the computer. Oh I was there Pete. However, whenever i saw you i would run and hide. I didn't always look this good in a suit. I was just a chubby sonics fan, and you.........well your pete. I was embarassed. i should have said hi to prove myself to you. and out of spite, i will be voting for scheff over my favorite seahawk of all time. I hate what you do to me..........JC out!

See! This is the kind of mental anguish I hoped this tourney would cause. It's all I ask for!
